The Cimarron Light4 person pyramid tent features one zippered door instead of the dual doors on the standard Cimarron 4 person. Stove placement is centered in the rear (where the second door zipper is on the standard Cimarron), meaning the two sides have equal room. The Light version saves 4-5 oz over the standard Cimarron with the removal of one door zipper and the switch to linelocs on the stake out points.

The Cimarron Light makes very effective use of space. The footprint is such that it can still be used on many campground pads where space is often limited. The tent itself is closest to a slightly rectangular pyramid and sets up almost exactly the same as a pyramid, but with less wasted space. Slight tipi styling reduces flat sidedness and maximizes space. This 4 person tent will sleep 4 adults plus gear without a stove, and two adults can sleep lengthwise very comfortably.

SEAM SEALING:

For best results we recommend seam-sealing your tent. You can do it at home or have us do it for you (adds up to one week) (if we seal the shelter, it will be shipped without extra tubes of sealant):

Seam Sealing Service

Our shelters are shipped with enough seam sealer to seal the entire tipi.
Seal the outside seams but do it from the inside - pitching the tipi inside out allows you to reach all of the seams.
The easy way to seal is to run a thin bead of sealant along the seam, then press it in with a finger, wiping the excess on a paper towel.
Alternatively, you can use an acid brush from a hardware store to spread the sealant.
